Depending on the region, this traditional wind instrument from Haitian Rara music is called a Vaksen (Vaccine), Banbou (Bamboo), or Pip (Pipe). Traditionally made from bamboo or metal piping, our version is crafted from durable PVC to ensure longevity and withstand play by little hands.

🎵 How It Works: Players blow into the instrument while covering and uncovering the open end to change pitches, creating rhythmic, call-and-response melodies central to Rara performances.

🎶 Symbol of Community: Multiple vaksen of different lengths are played together, producing layered harmonies that drive the vibrant beats of Rara parades. This collective sound symbolizes unity and community, key themes in Haitian celebrations.

📏 Size: Approximately XX inches long and XX inches wide—perfectly sized for growing arms.

🎨 Design: Comes in our Seasonal Limited Edition Color.
